When do I have to pay? Unless combining shipping, we request that you please pay for all items within 14 days after the auction ends.  If combining shipping, we ask for payment one week after the last combined auction has ended and you have three weeks to combine from the time the first winning auction ends.  Unfortunately, if payment is not received within the times noted above then we will have to re-list and apply to eBay for credits on fees paid.  We do not like doing this as it could hurt your standing on eBay when we ask for fees back. Top

For How Long Can I Combine Shipping?  We give you up to a generous three weeks to combine shipping and one week after that to pay for what you won.  To insure proper credit you must do the following:

In all cases when combining shipping, one item, the item with the highest shipping cost, will be charged the full shipping amount and discounts applied to all others where applicable.  All descriptions will list the available discount for that item, if any.

PLEASE DO NOT PAY FOR ANY ITEM WON UNTIL ALL ITEMS YOU ARE INTERESTED IN OR BIDDING ON HAVE ENDED!

We cannot combine eBay auctions once they are paid for and this makes tracking sales and discounts a problem. Top

Will You Send Me An Invoice?  Yes, we will always send an invoice after auctions end or the next morning if it ends in the evening.  We do however delay sending them for a few hours to allow us to verify what sold, apply discounts, and insure accuracy.  Top

What payment types do you accept?  Currently we accept PayPal and money orders from the Post Office, Seven/Eleven, Western Union, etc.  All money orders must be in dollars and must be cashable at a US bank. Top

Do you accept cash or personal checks?  ABSOLUTELY NOT! Top

Can You Accept Western Union Money Transfers?  According to eBay rules we are not allowed to promote or say that we accept, money orders or Western Union Money Transfers and we do not.  Only a buyer can suggest any other payment method.

PayPal is the easiest and cheapest way for our customers to make payment. Top

How long does it take you to ship what I paid for?  We ship 7 days a week and never more than 48 hours after payment is made.  Ninety-nine percent of all items leave within 24 hours of payment being made or received.  We cannot lessen customs delays but we can, and do, insure that there are no delays in shipping ... it is priority number one.  The only exceptions to this shipping policy are the seven day Tet Holiday (Chinese Lunar New Year), Christmas Eve and day, and New Years eve and day when we are closed.  In those cases all auctions that end on those days will be shipped the next day after the holiday ends. Top

How long will it take to arrive at my location?  Exactly how long will it take if you send something?  You cannot know that and neither can we.  Almost all shipments arrive within two to three weeks, but some are outside of that time frame.  Of those that are late almost all do arrive within 5-6 weeks of being shipped.  So we cannot assume loss until six weeks.  But again, almost all shipments do arrive within two to three weeks and we are delighted with the Post Office service.  Top

Why are there delays? We don’t know any more than you would if you shipped something.  We know it isn’t at this end and believe that most delays are in clearing customs, which all letters and packages must do.  Top

Are there times to expect late arrivals?  Sure!  Christmas, Tet, and other major holidays do cause delays but not at this end as we ship almost every day of the year.  Only on the holidays specified above are we closed and not able to ship, all other days items ship as above, and all shipments that fall due on holidays will leave the day after the holiday ends.  Top

What if there's a mistake in your title or description?  Then please let us know.  We are not perfect and will promptly remove any patch that is mislabeled.

Can you tell me where my order is?  No we cannot.  We can tell you that it left but just as when you mail something we cannot know where it is.  Tracking is hugely expensive and not a viable option.  I can also tell you that we have a fantastically low rate of loss so I am very confident it will arrive.  Top

Is this an original item?  We mark in the description what we believe them to be but because of the large number of replicas in the market many times we cannot be totally certain.  We obtain patches from many sources in Vietnam, the US, and the UK.  Top

What if you are absolutely sure something is original?  Only when we are 100% sure that something is original will we mark it as such in the description.  Top

Why is it so hard to know if something is original?  Do they look original?  You bet they do, and with good reason. They are being made by the same people who made them originally using the same machines and materials as were used on the originals.

There are also a great number of items that are portrayed by experts, sellers, and even in books or articles as original but that are not.  We know of several sites that sell patches which we know are not original, and we know of several books whose authors commissioned patches to be made and then portrayed them as original.

We also know of patches that are made from fantasy designs to look like originals and then sold as very rare patches.  They are rare ok.  Because they never were around forty years ago.  We will not sell that kind of item at all, were tricked on a few, and destroyed them when we found out.

It's a very complicated market. Top

Are reproductions horrible to have in my collection?  No, not really.  Is a copy of the Declaration of Independence hanging on your wall or mine horrible?

If the choice becomes either to have one that looks and feels like an original or to have nothing at all then I guess it is up to the individual.  Many collectors use reproductions to fill an empty spot until they can purchase one that they feel is original.  That's their business not mine. Top

Are your patches made on a computer?  Some patches we sell are "computer made" but only those patches which were originally made that way, from about 1980 onwards.  If identifying originals is almost impossible, seeing the difference between a computer and non-computer made one is usually pretty easy.  If a patch type was was not originally made on a computer then we will never sell one that has been made on a computer, even if someone sends us one we have purchased in error.  Top

Do you make patches or other items?  No, we do not make patches or other items and never have.  We purchase all items from many different sources.  Some are from Vietnam, a couple in the US, one in the United Kingdom, and some, but few, we have purchase on eBay, some at other venues.

Our Warranty Policy

If you are not 100% satisfied we will refund the cost of the item or items, including shipping to you, provided that the following conditions are met:

  1. All items must be returned within fourteen days of your receiving them in the same condition as received. Please do not return anything without first contacting us here. We will then issue a return authorization code. This is not done to discourage you from returns, rather so that both you and us know that an item is being sent back.

  2. A refund will be issued only when an item has been received back to us. If the item was damaged in the shipment to you we may ask that you photograph or scan it prior to returning it to us and that you then email us copies of those pictures so that we may pursue compensation from our shippers. If the package is visibly damaged when it arrives to you, then before opening it we may request that you photograph it and then take it to the post office to show them the damage, asking them to note that it was damaged in shipping to you before even opening; after which you may open it.

  3. You are responsible for return shipping. This means that you are responsible for losses or damage in the return post, so please package items carefully and insure any item of value. We may, solely at our discretion, pay for return shipping as well.
