This is me after five minutes on the
planet. As you can see I am glowing a bit, but
ready for the mission. I weighed only 1.7kg, was
they tell me about two weeks early, and came by
C-section. |

As you can see, I was already into
aerobic exercises to increase my lung capacity.
And, I was none to happy at this point... where's mom
anyway? |

Here I am being fitted for in-flight
telemetry of my vital signs after about five hours on
the planet. Because of my weight I was in NICU for
about 3 weeks with a bunch of folks fussing about me all
the time. Hey, I was ready to go, what on earth is
the delay? |

This is where I came into the world.
Don't let the name fool you, it is really a secret NASA
training facility dedicated to Mission Mars And Beyond. |

You might think me asleep here, but
no, I was doing meditation while they did instrument
checks on my vitals. That looks like a diaper I
know but it is really a special NASA antigravity waste
disposal device. |
Here I am glowing again. Of
course if dad would learn to take pictures correctly it
would not appear this bad. But I did have a bit of
a yellow color to my skin at birth, lots of us babies
do, don't you know. |
I know this looks painful but space
flight is full of radiation and I am being UV qualified
here. It also helps to turn us babies a different
color and get rid of the yellow. |
Hey!! Excuse me!!! Can someone
please remove this tube from my throat. I mean,
really, this isn't very pleasant. I want milk and
I get an IV.. geez that isn't the same is it?
Darned acid reflux anyway. |
Ok, ok, so I was tired! A girl
has to have her beauty rest you know. |
Ok, yes, I do sleep a lot, but NASA
work is very tiring. |
Wrapped in my super insulated space
blankets I am ready for any mission. |
Hey, I think I'm pretty cute if I
do say so myself. |
This is Preston my date in the NICU.
When the adults were not around he asked me to marry
him. Preston was born before me but I am actually
older than he is, I just stayed inside longer. His
mom and dad were super people and my mom and dad liked
having them as friends. A good thing! |
5 June... Yes, I really am a little
angle. Not much trouble to take care of, sleep
well, and my mom and dad love me with all their hearts. |
| |
Well all good things have to end sometime
and this is no exception.
From NASA and Kyla Web, thanks for visiting and
I'll see you on Mars in about 30 years. |
